Rabbits are endearing animals. They are depicted in a variety of shapes attitudes, colors and sizes. Until recently, my children had a couple of giant lops. When we moved into our home in Fort Collins one of the neighbor children who had heard we had rabbits, saw them an exclaimed "Now those are RABBITS!" For you who have never experienced a giant lop, they can easily weigh in at 20 pounds and their ears flop down seemingly lacking the bunny starch that keeps other varieties ears upright. They are simply beautiful with personalities to match. They are very social and rely on peer and human contact. I sculpted "Lily" and "Daisy," because I too, have been enchanted by these amazing creatures. |
