The irises are blooming, school is out for the summer and in seven weeks it is time for the Loveland Sculpture Show.  The show opens August 6, 7, and 8th on the fields outside of Loveland High School (29th and Taft Avenue, Loveland CO).  I’m so happy to be preparing for my tenth year at the show; in this time frame over 70 pieces have been created for private and public collections spanning the United States coast to coast.

New Works This Year

Bear Chair is finished and so are two other pieces; “Lazy Summer” and “Don’t Play With Your Food.”  “Lazy Summer” is a girl in a straw hat and overalls with her face resting on her hands; beside the girl is a fluffy kitten.

“Don’t Play With Your Food” is a piece with a fat Grizzly concentrating on a sockeye salmon that is curled up under his paw; staring him in the face.

Works On Display Around The Country

“A Little Bird” is on display in Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls Iowa.  “For My Mom” is on display in Bemidji Minnesota’s Sculpture In The Streets ; “The Gift” and “Reading Magic” are on display in Sioux Fall’s Sculpture In the Streets.  “A Little Bird” was not only purchased by Bemidji Public Library but won Bemidji’s Sculpture in the Streets People’s Choice Award and was first runner up in their  Critique’s Choice Award.
